Its a sad fact that Android ships with no way to take screenshots. ShootMe is an extremely simple, user-friendly app that rectifies that situation, but it needs the phone to be rooted first. ShootMes greatest feature is that it allows you to choose from several options in deciding what the trigger should be for the screen shot to take place—whether its shaking the phone, covering the light sensor, or just yelling at it (my favorite).
